book review

Reviewed by:David Ruiz

Book: Small steps Louis Sachar

Rating:*****(out of 5 )

I have just read one ofthe best books thatI have ever read in my life. It is about this kid named armpit or Theadore I should say is trying to take the right path in life but something always gets in his way. Hes been going to summer school to make up for the work that he didint do when he was at camp green lake. He is doing good but he wants to skip his economics test so that he could go to San Fransisco with Kaira de-leon one of the most popular singers in the book .She really fell in love with him after him and ginny a 10 year old girl that has a disease gets a stroke and kaira lets them go backtage. That could change his life but could it destroy it .He should have really just stayed home because it's a risk going to San Fransisco when they know you have a criminal record and if he dosent pass the test he dosent pass anything pretty much in life .

I thought that this book was good it could have been better if there was not so many chapters and pages that I didint understand . Like when kaira is talking to this guy that is cheating on his wife and got the tickets booked for Armpit . He found out that armpit was a juvenile delinquet and thought he was genius for it . I kind of got that part but I think If it was written by a sixth grader I would have understood it better . I like this book alot and I think it's the best one I read . It has to do alot with life and friendship and those are two persanol things I like to read about .

I recomend this book to older people probably 11 and up because then they wont get it . There is a little bit of cursing and bad words so I wouldint read it as a bed night story to a 6 year old . I like this book and I recomend it to people who like violence friend ship and the L word love . Our teacher read it to us but I say you should read it yourself because there is alot of suspense parts but I cant tell you yhem because they are very importiant parts in the book . I am going to let you read it for youself so dont bother me telling you the rest .

Double-check the capitals, spelling and grammar in this book review. Your review is a bit choppy in between sentences so I sugguest rereading it and correcting your sentences. Also, do not start your sentences with like, and make your periods right after the last word. (Example: This is how it looks now... He is doing good but he wants to skip his economics test so that he could go to San Fransisco with Kaira de-leon one of the most popular singers in the book . But this is how it SHOULD look... He is doing good but he wants to skip his economics test so that he could go to San Fransisco with Kaira de-leon one of the most popular singers in the book.)

David,
Like Emily said, read over it again to fix the capitals, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. You did a good job telling your opinion but re-read some parts in the book to get the right details.

PS Make sure your space bored is working.

Put capitals and you should delete the giant room of space at the bottom, besides that keep up the good work.

David,
i am glad that you were specific as to why you liked the book. You were one of the few kids that was clear on exactly why you liked it. Do check out the other students comments. They have some good advice.
